Parents say 6 Kids say Teen, 13 years old Written by Belisandra August 25, I laughed because of the terribleness After watching a lot of the older movies christa, Molly, Samantha to name a few of the better acted ones and being a fan of the magazines, books, and dolls, even though they can be a little young, I assumed this movie would be pretty good.
I was twelve, still the target audience I believe, and hadn't seen McKenna which now I'm guessing would be equally as bad. This movie was poorly acted, pretty unrealistic, and kind of irritating. I am probably a tougher critique than most people, but American girl usually has very high quality stuff, and this was a let down. The actors were all sort of fakey and over the top. I know they were young so I guess they did their best, but still, I'm pretty sure it could have been better.
The plot was actually a good idea, but poorly done. The raising money ideas were nice, but that little show they threw at the end looked Majorly expensive. Saige's fears were understandable but very over the top with the acting. The costumes were cute but something high school girls could be wearing, which isn't good to be portraying life to little girls like that. Saige was very whiny, once again, maybe she wouldn't have seemed so mean if it had been better acted.

But she's still a good character. I love the positive, encouraging music from Saige Paints the Sky, and I like the characters. But as in , when I was nine I always found Saige and her stories just a little bit boring.
But this movie is supposed to teach girls they can make a difference and do the things they love to do. Saige and her friends try to raise money for an art teacher at their school, so the students can have music AND art. It was hard for me to see it through Saige's eyes, since I'm more of a musician like Tessa remember Kailey's friend Tess, anyone?
I really loved the music and dancing more than the painting scenes. And now for the negative. Saige is too intense. She's my polar opposite.
She hates crowds, speaking in front of people, and being the center of attention, all of which I LOVE. Like I said, I'm more on Tessa and Devyn's side. Lots of drama in this movie. Tessa finds a new friend, Devyn, at music camp over the summer, and tends to leave Saige out a lot. Saige's grandmother, Mimi, breaks a bone below her hip, and her painting hand, which Saige totally can't deal with.
For the movie, see Saige Paints the Sky movie. She was released in Saige is a ten-year-old girl who lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has a passion for art specifically, visual arts , a passion she shares with her grandmother, Mimi.

She is an only child; her parents are Marina Copeland, a math professor, and David Copeland, an airline pilot. Saige has a pet dog named Sam and a horse named Georgia. Saige is also an artistically gifted girl, feeling that creativity is hardwired in her brain and helps her come up with creative solutions.

Saige loves art and horseback riding. When she rides Picasso, she feels like age has no matter. She is a very creative and imaginative girl. Saige seems to be shy and friendly. Since first grade, Tessa and Saige have been best friends.
Even though they are opposites, they are still close. In the middle of the movie, they got into a fight due to Saige yelling at Dylan, due to Saige's jealousy that Tessa hasn't been with her much lately, after meeting Dylan.
However, in the end of the film, they both rode in Saige's balloon at the fiesta. Gabi is Saige, Tessa, and Dylan's newest classmate. They instantly become best friends, due to their love for art, even though they do it in diffrent ways.
Gabbi seems to love Mimi's art studio. Tessa seems to be jealous of their friendship. In the end of the movie, Tessa becomes best friends with Gabi they ride Saige's balloon at the fiesta.
